How to grow flower from seeds?
1. Choose the seeds: Purchase flower seeds from a garden center or online. You can also save seeds from a ripe flower from your grocery store or farmers market.
2. Prepare the area: Choose an area in your garden that gets full sunlight and has well-draining soil. The ideal pH range for growing flowers is between 6.0 to 6.5.
3. Plant the seeds: Plant the seeds about an inch deep into the soil. You can plant multiple seeds, leaving about 2-3 feet of space between each seed.
4. Water the seeds: Water the soil thoroughly, but make sure not to overwater. Keep the soil moist until the seeds germinate.
5. Thin the seedlings: After the seedlings emerge, thin them out to one or two plants per planting spot.
6. Train the vines: Once the plants have established themselves, you can train the vines to grow up a trellis or fence to save space.
7. Fertilize the plants: Fertilize the flower plants once a month during the growing season. Use a balanced fertilizer that is high in potassium.
8. Harvest the flowers: Keep an eye on the flowers, and harvest them when they are ripe. You will know the flower is ripe when it smells sweet and the stem begins to loosen from the fruit.
Good luck with your flower growing adventure!
